Atlas Comes Clean

(Apologies to William Carlos Williams)

This is just to say
That I dropped the sky
And left the sun
Lying in the snow.
Forgive me,
It was so very
Heavy
And no-one seemed to notice
Until everything started to
Melt.

Excellent, succinct, thought provoking and slightly amusing too.

Gave me a great laugh. I think you need no apologies. You got right to the point which is nice. I can't seem to do that.

Hey, nice ! Very good use of the verse. It gave i think a bitter-sweet direction to the poem. And a nice ending.

We should do a joint poem one day.

Anyway, great job.

Thanks for this short verse. To the point and full of irony...

Perfectly written. It had that wonderful drop of irony seeping all the way through.
